April 26: David Retallick “Pruning 101”

David Retallick was born in Peterborough, Ontario. In fact, he still lives on a a 50 acre farm just south of the city on highway 28. David grows perennial flowers for sale. Daylilies are his favorite for many reasons, but he also enjoy growing true lilies (Asiatic, Trumpet, Orienpets, LA Hybrids and Orientals). He also has a select group of iris, coneflower, hosta and grasses for sale on his farm during various times of the year.

David is also the owner of a professional gardening service named David’s Garden Service which involves the pruning of trees, shrubs and hedges. His website is davidsgarden.ca.

He has accumulated a great knowledge of the subject over 30 years of gardening. David looks forward to giving our group his perspective on the sometimes misinformed way to do pruning RIGHT.

David will be speaking to us on Wednesday April 26 at 7pm at the Peterborough Lions Centre, 347 Burnham Street. Guests are welcome for a $5 guest fee.
