January 23: Cathy Hooper “Veggies in the Edible Landscape”
Cathy Hooper is certified as an Organic Master Gardener and Permaculture Designer. Cathy is interested in teaching others to grow food so that we can all contribute to a sustainable food system. She also recognizes that edible plants can be incorporated beautifully into a landscape design or individual garden.. Cathy has recently taught a series of workshops to install an edible garden for children’s programs at Camp Kawartha’s environment centre, near Trent University. In the past she has been a CSA and market gardener and is currently homesteading with her family on five acres in Warsaw. Cathy provides consultations, mentoring and workshops to create edible landscapes to interested members of the community as well.
