November 25: Elyn Saar-Green of Greenhouse on the River “Winter Flower Arrangements”
Elyn Saar-Green grew up in Toronto and studied at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay. She has co-owned Greenhouse on the River just south of Lakefield with her husband Peter Green for 27 years. Greenhouse on the River won the 2015 County of Peterborough Recognition Award for Business Leadership and Entrepreneurial Innovation. They specialize in “plants that work”. They are the largest grower of annuals and perennials in the area.
Elyn is ever helpful and friendly in her coveralls, white shirt and hat. She knows almost everyone who comes in to Greenhouse (mostly by name) and if she doesn’t know you when you come in, she’ll know you by the time you leave. Elyn will be speaking to us about Winter Flower Arrangements and will have lots of ideas to share. She’s going to be looking for some audience participation, so get your hands ready!
