Please join us on Wednesday September 23rd at 7pm at the Peterborough Public Library Auditorium for a new speaker to our region. Doors open at 6:30pm for refreshments and socializing.
Andrew Flaman considers it “an honour to be a guest at the Horticultural Society”. He will be sharing some of Circle Organic’s experiences that have helped shape their practical approaches to farming. From their start as the West Avenue Growers in Hamilton to their current location in Millbrook, they have learned through apprenticeships, mentorship, traveling and learning from ground breaking regions in North America (Havana, Milwaukee/Chicago, Vermont, Hudson Valley NY, Toronto, Hamilton and of course Millbrook). He will bring a slideshow and share some photographs to demonstrates the impact and potential of a holistic community based agricultural. Specifically, he will talk about relationships and interconnections in soil communities, as well as relationships and connections in the greater communities they help to sustain.
